Name - Don Murray, aka chunkymonkey (too much Marriott room service!)
Occupation - Regional Director for Scotland and the North of England for the IFA division of an International Bank
Age - 43
Lives - Home is Inverness, though originally from Glasgow, but work away from home 3-4 days a week.
Married - yes, to a very supportive lady, Muriel and have 2 wonderful girls, Mairi, 14 and Eilidh, 12.
Faith - became a Christian in 1985, and worship with the Free Church of Scotland congregation of Smithton and Culloden. Wife a Christian too.

Motorsport History - Took up rallying in Jan 2006, and have competed in 7 Scottish Championship events, all of which have been multi-venue forest events.

Highlights - Winning the Class 4 championship in my first season, due to being the only registered competitor in the class all year! All the sweeter because the points were won on my debut event, which was the only event i did in that car.

Lowlights - A ditch in Ae Forest at 60mph effectively ending our day on the 2006 Scottish Rally, on only the 2nd stage.

Don Murray car

Car History - Peugeot 205, 1.9GTi, for one event, Astra 2.0i Sport, for 4 events, Mitsubishi Evo 2 for 2 events.
Future plans - The McRae Stages Rally on the 29th of September, then into 2008 the Snowman, Granite City, Speyside Stages and McRae rallies in the forests, and possibly 3 or 4 rounds of the Scottish Tarmack championship as well, all DV!

Sponsors - Nessproperties, M and M Autorepairs, Signed Graphics and Macritchie Highland Distribution

CIM has a number of rallying interests...

Andy Clark competes in a number of local road rally series as well as some national level events. He is the Wessex Motor club RUC champion for 2006-2007. Until recently he has competed in a Peugeot 205 Diesel (yes that is right a Diesel). The closed season has seen that stretched a little into a 309 GTI ready to campaign the next season.

The 309 has been prepared using local assistance from Custard Brothers Racing…
