Brazilian Adriano Medeiros will contest the BRSCC Club Formula Ford Midlands South Championship in a Motorsport-Events.com Van Diemen RF00.
Motorsport Events boss and double King of Kents champion Ed Moore described Medeiros’ arrival as “exciting news for the UK Formula Ford scene”. The Brazilian has raced saloons in his homeland, and is currently working as an instructor at the Palmersport facility in Bedford. His FF1600 move is supported by sponsors Rondomix and Number One Transfer.
Medeiros plans to use FF1600 to learn about single seater racing and the UK motorsport scene, and was drawn to the Midlands South series partly because it offered a chance to race on a number of different circuits.
“I am thrilled that Adriano has joined us,” said Moore. “Adriano will face quite a learning curve, but this will give him the ideal platform from which to launch his European racing career.”
Motorsport Events have already signed novice Michael Bradley for a mixed programme of MS and Castle Combe races in 2006.
